The second stage — understanding Islam as a comprehensive system of life. Economics, politics, social interaction, governance, education, and Islamic penal sanctions. Around 75+ articles.

Level 2: Intermediate — Building the Comprehensive Islamic System

Congratulations! If you have arrived at this page, we assume you have completed the foundation of Aqidah and thought at Level 1. The roots of your conviction now strike deep.

Now it is time for us to erect the pillars, assemble the walls, and spread the roof. In Level 2, our view will expand. You will no longer see Islam merely as a matter of ritual worship or personal morality, but as a grand, complete, and comprehensive Order of Life (Nizham) for regulating society and the state.

Allah SWT asserts the perfection of this system in His words:

الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الْإِسْلَامَ دِينًا

“This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion.” (QS. Al-Ma’idah: 3)

The perfection of Islam means it possesses solutions for every dimension of human life. Starting from how we trade, how the state punishes criminals, up to how the interaction between men and women is regulated with full honor.

Let us begin exploring this comprehensive Islamic system step by step.

Level 2 Journey Map

At this level, there are around 75+ articles that dissect the Islamic system comprehensively. So you do not get lost, we recommend you follow the journey flow below in order.

1. Understanding How Da’wah Works (Thariqah)

Before dissecting the Islamic system that will be implemented, the first question is: How do we establish it? Hizbut Tahrir has a very clear, structured, and purely prophetic da’wah methodology, emulating the journey of the Messenger of Allah’s ﷺ da’wah.

2. System of Governance (Nizhamul Hukm)

This is the main pillar of Level 2. The Khilafah is not a kingdom system, nor is it a democratic republic. It is a unique system of governance inherited by Islam.

3. Economic System (Nizhamul Iqtishadi)

Islamic economics is not merely “banking without interest.” It is a system completely different from both Capitalism and Socialism. Its main focus is not on production, but on the just distribution of wealth.

4. Social System (Nizhamul Ijtima’)

How does Islam regulate the interaction of men and women in public space? The Islamic social system is designed to uphold honor, preserve lineage, and focus the energy of society on productive matters.

5. Education System (Nizhamut Ta’lim)

Education in Islam is not a corporate labor-producing machine, but a factory for forging Islamic personalities (syakhshiyyah islamiyyah) who master the sciences of life.

6. Penal System (Nizhamul Uqubat)

Islamic criminal law is often misunderstood as a cruel system. In fact, it is a system of justice that functions as expiation for sin (jawabir) in the Hereafter and prevention of crime (zawajir) in this world.

7. Foreign Policy & Jihad

How does the Khilafah state interact with the international world?
